I do house calls in the Greater Triangle of North Carolina.
As a lover of animals with a professional background as a human chiropractor, becoming an animal chiropractor was a natural move for my professional growth.
I grew up with dogs, cats, and horses and was always into something with animals. As a child, I showed my Miniature Pincher, Jealous Jakerman (Jake), in AKC Junior Showmanship. I was also very into horses and showed western pleasure quarter horses and paints, as well as NBHA barrel racing. I also did trail courses, pole bending, arena racing, Texas barrels, and cowboy mounted shooting.
My introduction to chiropractic was through an animal chiropractor that helped my barrel horse, Ginger, heal from a disc injury that would have led to euthanasia otherwise. I had originally decided I would be a veterinarian at the age of 5, but after watching what chiropractic did for my horse, and learning how chiropractic could have saved my mom from failed back surgery, I decided in college at 21 I would become a chiropractor. I now spend my days helping people and animals heal through chiropractic.
My favorite animals to adjust are horses, because they have to trust me in order to let me work with them. So to walk up to a horse I’ve never met and have them relax into my hands is one of the most wonderful feelings in the world. My biggest chiropractic win to date is adjusting a dog in severe pain after the groomer and watching him relax and eat afterwards. Animal chiropractic is the most gentle and effective way to help an animal live its life to its fullest potential.
