I have always loved animals, but becoming a veterinarian was never my calling. I attended Palmer Chiropractic school because I wanted to be able to help people without the use of medications. After graduating, I discovered that working with people did not bring me that joy I was expecting to have from my profession. Animal chiropractic called my name and I have not looked back once. There is no placebo effect when it comes to animals; you can truly tell how remarkable chiropractic care is when they are treated. My career centers mainly around working with performance dogs, but I do have that soft spot for my geriatric clients. Working with aging dogs to keep them mobile and pain free in their golden years does bring me that joy. Animal chiropractic care has also helped my own cat Aurora as she ages and has aided in keeping her extra spicey (just how my husband and I like her). The one thing I wish everyone knew about animal chiropractic care is that you do not have to wait to see symptoms of an injury or pain to have your pet seen. Let’s start animal chiropractic at birth to help our pets have healthy, and happy long lives.
