This 240 hour course will give the student the knowledge and tools to sit for the American Veterinary Chiropractic Association certification examination. Only open to licensed veterinarians and chiropractors. 120 hours of online presentations and only 3 trips to Dallas for hands on laboratories.

Animal Chiropractic 101

Animal Chiropractic is a growing field and the growth potential is limited only by the number of students that take the course each year. Graduates of the program will have the tools necessary to successfully complete the American Veterinary Chiropractic Association certification exam and establish an animal chiropractic practice.

Course registrants will have access to the ACES secure website where students will be able to download notes, watch webinars and Power Point presentations, and complete quizzes relative to the material, in the order necessary to progress through the program. The student may choose the speed with which he or she completes each section.

Forty hours of preparation online content must be completed prior to attending each lab. The cutoff date for lab attendance will be 10 days prior to the beginning of the lab. Closed book tests and practical exams will be given on classroom days. A passing score of 78% is required in order to complete the course. Classroom exams may be repeated at the end of the module with a fee of $25 per repeated exam. Laboratories will have a student / teacher ratio no greater than 5:1. Laboratory instructors must be AVCA certified doctors with a minimum of 2 years practice and an animal population comparable to those which they are teaching. Location of the laboratory and live classroom lectures will be in Celina, Texas. Check out the syllabus for Laboratory Dates. Each lab session will be given 4 times per year.

Student doctors must have a current license in veterinary medicine or chiropractic in order to register. Registrants will provide copies of license, transcript from the school of their doctoral degree, and a picture id photo. Each student will purchase an adjusting bale, a canine spine and a speeder board prior to attending his or her first lab. These will be used in lab and will become the property of the student upon completion of the course.
